AL Qarma Beach Garden, which is expected to open to public shortly and is one of the few beach parks in Qatar, will be an added attraction at Al Khor that has emerged as a major tourist and entertainment hub away from Doha in the recent past.
The beach front garden cum park is the first of its kind in Al Khor spread over 8,000 square metres and boasting of many attractive features, including among others pedestrian zone, playground, beachfront sitting area with shades and many facilities for children.
The garden is ideally located offering better connectivity to residents from Ras Laffan Industrial City, Al Khor and the new, emerging residential areas around Doha.
It is noteworthy that the Municipal Affairs Department tweeted on Tuesday that the park developed by Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipalities in collaboration with the Department of Public Garden will open shortly.
A tour operator in Doha said,"Infrastructure projects, growing hospitality industry and better road network as well as sports facilities and cinema theatres have made Al Khor an attractive destination for both tourists and residents. It has lately emerged as a must-visit place in Qatar. Al Khor offers fresh beaches on the one hand and sports facilities on the other."
