DOHA: Residents of Qatar can anticipate a continuation of the hazy and hot weather that has characterised recent days, accompanied by scattered clouds. The Department of Meteorology issued its daily weather report, providing insights into the expected atmospheric conditions for Sunday.
Inshore, the day is expected to commence with areas experiencing haze, gradually transitioning into relatively hot to hot temperatures as the day progresses. Some cloud cover is anticipated, offering a slight reprieve from the sun's intense rays. Offshore, a similar pattern is forecasted, with misty conditions in certain areas and the presence of clouds throughout the day.
Meteorological experts predict variable winds, initially less than 5 knots in strength, which will later shift to mainly Southeasterly directions at speeds ranging from 5 to 15 knots. Offshore, wind conditions will follow a comparable trajectory, starting with variable speeds less than 3 knots and then shifting towards Northwesterly to Northeasterly directions, with velocities ranging from 3 to 13 knots.
Sea heights, both inshore and offshore, are expected to remain relatively calm, with heights ranging from 1 to 3 feet offshore and 1 to 2 feet inshore. This should provide favorable conditions for maritime activities and coastal outings.
However, amidst these atmospheric conditions, visibility may be slightly impaired. Inshore visibility is expected to range between 4 to 8 kilometers, while offshore visibility may dip to 4 to 9 kilometers or less in certain areas, particularly earlier in the day.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay hydrated and protected from the sun's intense heat, especially during outdoor activities. Mariners are urged to stay informed about changing weather conditions and exercise caution while navigating coastal waters.
