A passenger has been caught with a large number of narcotic pill at the Hamad International Airport, the General Authority of Customs said on Monday.
The pills, numbering 2,716, were seized from a bag of the passenger.
A few days ago the Air Cargo and Private Airports division of the General Directorate of Customs in Qatar foiled an attempt to smuggle banned captagon drug pills into Qatar.
The contraband was concealed in a shipment containing women's bag and accessories. The customs authorities seized a total of 887 pills that were hidden in the lining of the bag. The seizure was made by the Postal Consignments Customs department.
