The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons Automobiles, Qatar’s Mercedes dealership, has announced the recall of Mercedes SL Class, 2022-2023 models, as the software coding in the electronic ignition switch (EIS) does not correspond to factory specification, which may cause battery discharge.
The ministry, in cooperation with Al Fardan Automobiles, Qatar’s BMW dealership, has also recalled BMW X1 sDrive 20i, X1 xDrive 20i, X5 M Competition, X5 M60i, X6 M Competition, X6 M60i and X7 M60i, 2024 model, as signal interference in the electronics of the braking system may cause failure of the brake power assistance system.
