TRAQ, an organisation hailing from Thiruvananthapuram, won the first Gulf Lights - ISC inter-organisation cricket tournament, conducted by the Indian Sports Centre (ISC).
TRAQ beat Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association (KMCA) in the final held at Old Ideal school ground on Friday.
Put into bat, KMCA scored 85 runs losing 4 wickets in 8 overs. Chasing the target, TRAQ romped home in 5.3 overs mainly due to fine batting display from Sajeeva, who was later named as the man of the match.
Thanveer from KMCA bagged the best bowler ward while Mufiyaz of TRAQ won the best batsman award. KMCA's Sandeep was chosen as the Man-of-the-Series.
Sanaullah Abdulrehman MD, Gulf Lights, was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Nilangshu Dey President, ISC, and other officials of ISC Azim Abbas, M. S. Bukhari, Habib Un Nabi and RaviShankar were also present on the occasion.
Deepak Shetty co-ordinated the tournament.
The Indian Sports Centre organised the first-ever inter-organisation league cum knock-out cricket tournament which began on April 21 and saw twelve organisations KMCA, SKMWA, TRAQ, TULUKOOTA, PAI, UTKALIKA, QDC, MMQ, ICAI, MEDGULF, ENGINEERS FORUM and QTS take part.
