DOHA: Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin emphasized the importance of the recommendations resulting from the Second Gulf Housing Week aimed at developing the housing sector in GCC countries and achieving goals such as providing suitable housing for all citizens, along with enhancing societal well-being.
In his closing speech at the conclusion of the event in Doha, Al Khayarin highlighted the significance of national and regional integration in achieving sustainable development goals and improving citizens' quality of life.
He emphasized the need to encourage investments for housing sector development and to provide platforms for showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in real estate development. He expressed hope that this experience would serve as a stepping stone towards a better future for the GCC countries, achieving further progress and prosperity in the coming years.
Additionally, during the closing ceremony of the Second Gulf Housing Week,Minister of Social Development and Family HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad honoured dignitaries including Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Majid bin Abdullah Al Hogail,Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of the Kingdom of Bahrain Amna Al Rumaihi, DrKhalfan Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of the Sultanate of Oman, Director of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program in the United Arab Emirates Eng Mohammed Al Mansoori, and General Manager Public Authority for Housing Welfare Eng Rashid Al Enezi.
Furthermore, the ministers responsible for housing affairs in the GCC countries toured the pavilions of the Build Your House 2024 exhibition held at the Qatar National Convention Center concurrently with the Second Gulf Housing Week from May 13 to 16. This exhibition showcased the latest technological developments and global best practices in engineering, construction, and design, serving as an important platform for housing projects.
