ISHRAE Qatar (Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) conducted Qatar Chapter’s Installation and Oath Ceremony for the Year 2024-2025.
Ambassador of India to Qatar HE Vipul attended the event as the chief guest while Jabr Al Aji, head of Reliability Operations, Qatar Foundation, was the guest of honour.
The new leadership team comprises President: Mohammad Shad; President-Elect: Abdul Zameer Sab; Secretary: Mujeeb Rahuman; Treasurer: Abdullah J Ali; Immediate Past President: Thulasiram; Programme Chair: Tufail Mohammed; Technical Chair: Fahd Ali Khan; Marketing Chair: Karthikeyan Ganesan; Membership Chair: Mohammed shahed; K-12 Chair: Sajeeda Shaikh;Women Chair: Anuja Saira George; Youth Chair: Mohammed Sarfraz;Honours and Awards Chair: Babu Kusa; Sports Chair: Jesim Mohammed; Founder Members: Prince Sreedharan and Subramanian Chinnakannan.
The event was attended by Anoop Ballaney, ISHRAE Society president; Mihir Sanghavi, society vice-president; Asif Rahmany, president of Engineers Australia, Qatar Chapter; and Hassan Sultan, chairman of the Advisory board ASHRAE Qatar Oryx Chapter.
Other representatives from different organisations like Phillips Society of Mechanical Engineers Qatar and The Institute of Engineers (India) Qatar were also present.
More than 130 engineers, including ISHRAE members, attended the event.
Society Vice-President Mihir Sanghavi administered the oath and installed the new committee for the upcoming year.
A key feature of the ceremony was a presentation by the ISHRAE Society President Anoop Ballaney on the topic of decarbonisation, emphasising the society’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in the HVAC&R industry.
The new president Mohammad Shad shared his activity plan for the upcoming year.
