STUDENTS from 10 countries - Qatar, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Mauritania, France and Palestine - participated in the cultural diversity celebrations at the Maghreb International Charlemagne school in Doha.
The celebrations featured art performances, traditional cuisine exhibitions, and artifacts exhibitions reflecting the cultural diversity of the schools' students and the heritage of their native countries.
The event was attended by representative of the department of private schools at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Fahed al Ghanem, the Ambassador of Algeria HE Abdulaziz Sab, the Ambassador of Tunisia HE Salah al Salhi, Director of the French cultural center and representative of the French embassy, and representative of the Moroccan Ambassador.
General Director of the Maghreb International Charlemagne school Mohamed al Chaar said that the event aims to celebrate the cultural diversity and the rich heritage of the school's students which represent a pillar of human advancement and an example of tolerance and coexistence between cultures and civilizations.
The director praised the support of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for the country's residents and expatriates from different nationalities. He noted that the cultural diversity celebrations aim to encourage cultural exchange between Qatari students and their peers. It also highlights the rich heritage of the Qatari culture along with other Arab cultures, in addition to the French culture as a contribution to the Qatar National Vision 2030.
