Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani officially inaugurated the Korean Medical Center (KMC) in Lusail City on Monday. Following the inauguration, the prime minister toured the state-of-the-art facility, which is staffed by 155 Korean and international medical professionals.
KMC Medical Director and Head of Executive Health and Gastroenterology Department Dr. Sunpyo Lee guided the prime minister through the center’s specialised departments. These include the Executive Health Center, Spine & Joint Center, Pain Management, Rehabilitation, Korean Medicine Center, Dental Center, Fertility Center, and Beauty and Wellness Center.
The inauguration was attended by several high-profile dignitaries, including Minister of Municipality HE Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Qatar HE Jeon Ho Lee, Estithmar Holding Chairman Mohamed Moataz Al Khayyat, Estithmar Holding Vice Chairman and President Ramez Al Khayyat, Estithmar Holding Group CEO Eng Mohammed bin Badr Al Sada, members of Estithmar Holding’s board of directors, Elegancia Healthcare CEO Joseph Hazel and KMC General Manager Dr Ahmed Al Kalla.
Expressed his pride on the opening of KMC, Moutaz Al Khayyat said, "After the successful collaboration between The View Hospital and Cedars-Sinai, as well as Estithmar Holding’s impressive extension of operations in Algeria and Iraq, we are honoured to have HE the prime minister officially inaugurate the Korean Medical Center. This center promises to bring unparalleled healthcare services to Qatar and the region.”
Ramez Al Khayyat highlighted the strategic partnership with South Korea, stating, "South Korea has been a global leader in healthcare thanks to its effective and specialized healthcare system that continues to achieve remarkable results. Therefore, our strategy when establishing the Korean Medical Center is to attract the most prominent healthcare providers in Korea to provide the most exceptional healthcare experience in Qatar and the region.” The Korean Medical Center collaborates with prominent Korean medical institutions, including Asan Medical Center, JK Plastic Surgery Center, Seoul AnhKang Hospital, and Limetree Dental Hospital. Each partner brings extensive expertise in their respective fields, enhancing KMC’s capability to deliver top-tier healthcare services.

The Korean Medical Center comprises seven integrated centers:
Executive Health Center
The Executive Health Center, in partnership with Asan Medical Center, offers the most comprehensive medical checks and the most advanced preventative care and treatment in the region. One of the most distinct features of the Executive Health Center is that it conducts a range of extensive medical examinations for detailed diagnosis and early risk detection for diseases such as cancers, heart diseases, neurological and brain conditions, premarital medical examination, gynecological health, and fertility examinations among other diagnostic procedures.
This center ensures individual and customized treatment by tailoring the examinations based on specific factors such as gender, age, health conditions, family history, and lifestyle. All diagnostic procedures are performed through sophisticated instruments such as DEXA bone density scanners, and TESLA 3 MRI machines. To save time and effort, the procedures are designed to be fast and systematic through organized and successive steps on one floor to ensure efficiency and reduce wait times. After examinations, the concierge service provides follow-up services for a year post-appointment.
Spine & Joint Center
The Spine & Joint Center was also established in partnership with Asan Medical Center, renowned as one of the leading centers for orthopedics and joint treatments worldwide. It specializes in the treatment of skeletomuscular disorders, such as degenerative diseases, sports injuries, and chronic spinal and joint pain, through surgical and non-surgical procedures aimed at maintaining holistic physical health. Treatments provided at the center include sports injury rehabilitation, spine and joint injections, spine surgery, and arthroscopy.
Pain Management, Rehabilitation,Korean Medicine Center
What makes the Pain Management, Rehabilitation, and Korean Medicine Center unique is its partnership with Seoul AnhKang Hospital, the largest pain rehabilitation center in Korea with over 20 years of experience. The center comprises 3 main departments, namely the rehabilitation department, which provides rehabilitation services, exercise therapy, and physiotherapy, the pain management and treatment department, featuring FIMS, a minimally invasive, non-steroidal pain treatment. And lastly, the Korean Medicine department specialising in integrating Traditional Korean Medicine, which includes physiotherapy, exercise, nutrition, cupping, acupuncture, and moxibustion, with state-of-the-art medical technology.
Fertility Center
The Fertility Center works in collaboration with Asan Medical Center, which has operated in the field of fertility and reproduction for over 30 years. Its most prominent services include intra-uterine injections that boast a fertility success rate of almost 76%. It is also home to fertility laboratories that provide the latest IVF treatments, fertility, genetic testing, and gender determination, as well as counseling and support clinics for fertility struggles.
Beauty and Wellness Center
The Beauty and Wellness Center was established in partnership with JK Medical Group. It provides a wide range of services, including cosmetic and restoration surgery, which includes complex surgeries and simple procedures such as the removal of moles. The center also provides holistic skin care and treatment for dermatological disorders, using the latest laser technologies and devices that guarantee impressive results from the first session. In addition, the center specializes in post-surgical care and regenerative treatments for long-term health, as well as improving overall health and anti-aging therapy. It provides a full range of procedures, including cosmetic filler and lifting and health programs such as non-invasive weight reduction, hydrotherapy, cryotherapy, and stem-cell therapy.
Dental Center
The Korean Medical Center provides dental and oral services at its dental center, established in partnership with LimeTree Dental Hospital. Its most impressive feature is the comprehensive and integrated dental treatments for children and adults, including cosmetic dental surgery, orthodontics, and dental implants. The center boasts state-of-the-art equipment, such as advanced dental imaging services and a fully equipped in-house laboratory providing digital and traditional dental treatments. Primary Care Center
The Korean Medical Center’s Primary Care Clinic was established to improve the standard of luxury and service for medical treatments and is intended to supplement the specialized services provided in the other centers at KMC. The Primary Care Center has 8 departments that include cardiology, family medicine, gastroenterology, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, pediatrics, and dietetics and nutrition.
