ConteQ Expo24 organising committee has announced the sponsorship and exhibition participation of Schneider Electric Qatar & Kuwait as a silver sponsor at this year’s highly anticipated event taking place from September 16 to 18 at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

As a pivotal platform on the nation’s exciting journey towards Qatar National Vision 2030, this ground-breaking exhibition will redefine technological standards in construction and services.

ConteQ Expo 2024 is an eagerly awaited event hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), the Ministry of Labour (MoL) and Public Works Authority (Ashghal), three esteemed government bodies in Qatar, and organised by NeXTfairs conferences and Exhibitions.

The event aims to bring cutting-edge solutions that improve productivity, quality, reliability, cost-savings, waste-reduction and energy efficiency in the construction and services sectors.

Saleh bin Majid Al Khulaifi, assistant undersecretary for Industry Affairs and Business Development at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said: “The construction sector in Qatar is one of the nation’s most important sectors, witnessing significant progress in recent years. Its growth is expected to continue, especially with the ongoing economic expansion in the country and the state’s commitment to completing developmental projects aimed at achieving its National Vision 2030.”

Khulaifi added, “The ministry is committed to leveraging modern and digital technology to advance the development of the construction and services sectors and reduce dependence on unskilled labour; to develop a lean construction sector that can export its services to the region. The exhibition presents a chance to delve into the most recent technological innovations within the field of construction and services. It serves as a significant platform for fostering fruitful partnerships with numerous companies and specialised experts, thereby contributing to the enhancement of the national economy.”

From her part, Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman Al Thani, assistant undersecretary for Migrant Labour Affairs at the Ministry of Labour, stressed that the participation of the ministry in organising ConteQ Expo24 comes as part of efforts to keep up with the latest developments, and meet the needs of all economic sectors in the state, including the construction and services sector, and attract skilled workforce with high efficiency and productivity, to implement and complete projects in the state, according to the highest standards of safety, occupational health, digitisation and sustainability.

She noted that the exhibition embodies the endeavours of the Ministry of Labour to unite efforts with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Public Works Authority, and all entities and institutions in the State, to achieve the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy, which includes attracting highly skilled and productive labour, qualified to deal with the latest innovations and technologies in the construction and services sector.

She added that the exhibition is a unique platform to promote innovation in this vital sector, review the latest in construction and services technology globally, and enable the local sector to benefit from innovative technologies in the implementation of projects in the country.

Engineer Salem Al Shawi, chairman of the Organising Committee of ConteQ Expo24 and Technical Office Manager at Ashghal, said: “We are pleased to welcome Schneider Electric Qatar & Kuwait as a sponsor of the exhibition. The company has significant contributions in the construction sector and are dedicated to utilising advanced and efficient technologies.
