A large number of Pakistanis attended the Eid Milan (Eid get-together) held at Pakistan embassy premises on the second day of Eid al Fitr.
Pakistan's outgoing Ambassador HE Shahzad Ahmad and his spouse welcomed the guests and well-wishers upon their arrival at the embassy. The event provided an opportunity for Pakistanis to celebrate their Eid in a traditional way and exchange matters of common interest. Embassy officials were also present on the occasion and exchanged Eid greetings with their compatriots.
The reception scheduled to be held from 3.30pm to 5.30pm continued till late in the evening as the community members kept on pouring in. Pakistanis, attired in colourful traditional dresses, attended the event along with their families. Office-bearers of various Pakistani socio-cultural organisations and staff members of educational institutions were also present.
Guests were treated to traditional Pakistani cuisine such as haleem, samosa, pakora and sheer khorma.
