MES Indian School observed World Environment Day recently with an array of events designed to raise students’ awareness about the importance of preserving
the ecosystem.
The events included activities like poster making, slogan writing, painting, essay writing and poetry writing on the topic ‘Save environment and save life’. Students from kindergarten to Class XII took part in the activities.
Besides, volunteers of the school Campus Care Force (CCF) cleaned the school campus and planted saplings in their respective sections under the supervision of the sections’ heads.
After the morning prayer, the school’s Assistant Head Boy Dhananjay Gaur (Boys’ Section), Valencia John (Girls’ Section) and Evelyn Johnley (Head Girl, Junior Section) read out the pledge highlighting the importance of caring for the flora and fauna to support human life.
Winners of various competitions were honoured with certificates. Congratulating the participants and winners the school Principal, Mrs Hameeda Kadar appreciated the efforts of students and teachers and urged them to have a personal commitment to beat plastic pollution and to join the global movement to ‘refuse what you can’t reuse.’ Rajendran S, literary activity in-charge coordinated
