DPS-Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) successfully concluded its month-long flagship event ‘Rendezvous-2024-25’ for grades IX-XII on June 26. The annual inter-house cultural fiesta saw enthusiastic participation from all four houses—Rose, Lily, Tulip, and Lotus—in both onstage and offstage competitions. The occasion was graced by DPS-MIS Principal Asna Nafees, Vice Principals Soma Bhattacharjee and Mary Cruz, and Shifa Shaikh.

The campus buzzed with excitement and enthusiasm as the energetic and eager participants were ready to captivate the audience with their dynamic and spirited performances. In her motivational speech, Asna Nafees emphasised the importance of such events to develop life skills and prepare students for future endeavors. The e-newsletter, providing a snapshot of the event’s highlights, was also released on the occasion.

The festival featured an eclectic mix of activities designed to engage and challenge the students. These included No Heat Culinary Concoction, Argument Arena, Silent Spectacle Showdown, Serenade of Steps, Repurpose Couture, Metaphor Magic: A Poetic Alchemy, Cartoon Chronicles, STEMovation Model Expo, Canvas Choreography, Junior Journalist, and Trivia Triumph Tournament.

These activities kept the students enthralled and inspired as they explored their passions and honed their skills across a broad spectrum of disciplines. Complementing these creative pursuits were tech events such as Logo Designing, Digital Poster Making, Game Making, Code Clash Carnival, Cyber Palette Doodle Contest, Hackathon, and Productivity App, which promoted critical thinking and advanced technological skills. Together, these activities were strategically designed to cultivate the essential 21st-century skills vital for students’ development.

The participants, led by their teachers and house wardens — Rose House, Anju V.A; Tulip House, Niya Jacob; Lotus House, Kalidass; and Lily House, Aditi Shrivastava — demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, pushing beyond their limits to add glory to their houses. The audience, thoroughly engaged and supportive, fueled their spirits to excel. A total of 27 competitions were conducted. Tulip House won first place, followed by Lily, Lotus, and Rose houses in second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.

The event was anchored by members of the Student Council 2024-25 and coordinated by Priti Modi, activity coordinator (Grades IX to XII), under the guidance of Principal Asna Nafees and Vice Principal Higher Secondary School and Head of Activities Soma Bhattacharjee.
