His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Thursday took part in Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, held in the Kazakh capital, Astana, under the theme “Strengthening Multilateral Dialogue - Striving for Sustainable Peace and Development.”
A number of heads of State and Government, and delegations, in addition to representatives of a number of regional and international organisations took part in the Summit.
Members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir attended the summit, along with members of the participating delegations, senior officials and guests of the summit.
HH the Amir also attended the luncheon banquet hosted by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan HE Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in honour of heads of states and governments, and participating delegations.
HH the Amir affirmed that Qatar attaches special importance to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
HH the Amir also confirmed that he discussed with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev all files related to the two countries’ strategic relations.
In a post on his official account on the social media platform X, HH the Amir said that during His Highness’ visit to Kazakhstan, he discussed with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev all issuesrelated tostrategic relations that they are keen to constantly consolidate by establishing cooperation which can realise the common interests and aspirations of the two friendly countries.
HH the Amir added that he also participated in the SCO summit, to which Qatar attaches special importance, to enhance cooperation with its continental surroundings, which contributes to the prosperity and well-being of the region and the world.Amir participates in SCO Summit
