His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with President of the Republic of Turkiye HE Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in the Kazakh capital, Astana, on Thursday.
During the meeting, they discussed the strategic bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them.
They also exchanged views on current regional and international issues, especially the developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, and a number of members of the official delegation attended the meeting.
On the Turkish side, Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy HE Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Finance
HE Mehmet Simsek, Minister of Trade HE Omer Bolat, and a number of senior officials attended the meeting.
