DOHA: The Department of Meteorology has warned of strong winds expected during the day on the coast, and strong winds and high waves offshore. It expected the weather on the coastto be hot to very hot during the day with light dust to dusty conditions on some coastal areas with some clouds, and offshore accompanied by light dust at times and some clouds.
Winds on the coast will be mostly northwesterly at a speed of 10-20 knots, with gusts reaching 30 knots in some areas during the day, decreasing to 5-15 knots at night. At sea, they will be westerly-northwesterly at a speed of 12-22 knots, with gusts reaching 28 knots at times.
Horizontal visibility on the coast ranges between 4 and 9 kilometers, and decreases to 3 kilometers or less in some areas during the day.. and at sea between 4 and 9 kilometers.
Wave height on the coast ranges between 2 and 5 feet, and at sea between 3 and 7 feet, sometimes rising to 9 feet.
The highest expected temperature in Doha is 43 degrees Celsius.
