With the support of the Qatari people, Qatar Charity (QC) provided aid to 126 sponsored families, orphans, students and people with special needs in Bosnia. This initiative aims to meet their necessary living needs, improve their lives, and provide them with the support needed to achieve a better and more stable future.

The aid was distributed during a visit by the QC office team to several sponsored families in the municipalities of Tuzla and Givnica in eastern Bosnia. The purpose of the visit was to inspect their conditions, provide psychological support to them and their families, understand their needs and living conditions, and listen to their requirements.

The team also encouraged orphans and students to continue striving in life, study hard, and engage in the educational and cultural activities provided by QC through its offices in Bosnia.

The aid distributed to the beneficiaries included packages of clothes, refrigerators, firewood, wardrobes, and payment of electricity expenses, as well as covering students’ tuition fees and other needs.

The sponsored individuals and their families expressed their deep gratitude to the benevolent people of Qatar, including sponsors and donors to QC, and shared their happiness with the assistance provided to them, whether material, moral, or personal.

Ayla Arnaut, an orphan and distinguished student in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tuzla College, who has been sponsored by the association for four years, expressed her heartfelt thanks to the generous supporters who have been caring for her.

QC is currently sponsoring, as part of its ‘Rofaqaa’ initiative, 3,527 people in Bosnia, including orphans, people with special needs, students, teachers, and needy families, with approximately 2,500 orphans among them, distributed across the cities and villages of Bosnia.

QC has also completed several significant projects in Bosnia, most notably the ‘Orphan Care and Rehabilitation Center’ project, which provides free educational and recreational services to orphans sponsored by the charity.

Another major project is the female student housing project, which offers university study opportunities for female students from poor families for all university majors available in the country. The scholarship covers the entire period of study and provides comprehensive subsistence costs for 110 female students, in addition to offering educational programmes that benefit the students throughout the year.
