SARAJEVO: Qatar has participated in Sarajevo in commemorating the genocide that took place in Srebrenica, eastern Bosnia, in 1995, in the presence of Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina HE Denis Becirovic.
Qatar was represented in commemorating the Srebrenica genocide on Thursday by Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater.
It is worth noting that Qatar voted in the United Nations General Assembly in favour of the resolution to designate July 11 of each year as an international day of reflection and commemoration of the 1995 genocide in Srebrenica.
The commemoration was attended by Ambassador of Qatar to Bosnia and Herzegovina HE Meshal bin Ali Al Attiyah.
