PARIS: The arrival of the Qatari security forces to the French Republic has been completed to participate in securing the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will be held from July 26 to September 8.

At the forefront of welcoming the force upon its arrival at the airport were Ambassador of Qatar to France HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, and Brigadier General Nawaf Majid Al Ali, Commander of the Qatari Security Forces to secure the Paris 2024 Olympics, along with senior French security officials, led by Major General Emmanuel Melkernia, Assistant Director General of the Directorate of International Security Cooperation at the French Ministry of the Interior,Major General Jean-Valery Letterman, Head of the Directorate of Public Relations and Liaison at the French National Gendarmerie, Lieutenant Colonel François Bremand, 2024 Olympic Games Operations Officer at the French National Gendarmerie, and Major Abdul Rahman Al-Tamimi, Security Attaché for Internal Security Force Affairs.

At the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the French Republic, Brigadier General Nawaf Majid Al Ali, Commander of the Qatari Security Forces to secure the Paris 2024 Olympics, pointed out that the participation of the forces comes as confirmation of the strength of the relationship between Qatar and France, especially in the security fields.

Notingwhat was confirmed by Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, he said that the tasks of this force are an extension of its tasks in maintaining security in Qatar, and it will continue with determination to implement what is asked of it with all efficiency and professionalism.

He stressed that the security expertise of Qatar has become a reference that can be used in major international events.

This participation reflects the strength of the growing strategic partnership between the State of Qatar and the French Republic, especially in the security fields, and comes within the framework of an administrative agreement on security cooperation that was signed between the two countries in February.
