The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Almana Motors Company, Qatar’s Lincoln dealership, has announced the recall of the Lincoln Nautilus, 2024 model, due to an issue with the rear shock absorbers. Affected vehicles may produce a noise in the suspension system when driving on rough roads.

Additionally, the MoCI, in cooperation with Al Fardan Luxury Motors, Qatar’s Aston Martin dealership, has recalled Aston Martin DBX models from 2020, 2022 and 2023. This recall is due to the potential disintegration of battery cables, which may cause the vehicle to lose electrical power, potentially leading to engine stalling, loss of headlights, problems with power steering or other vehicle functions, thereby increasing the risk of a collision. Heat damage to the plastic cover of the battery fuse box may also cause smoke or an unpleasant odour in the luggage compartment.

Furthermore, the MoCI, in cooperation with Al Fardan Automobiles, Qatar’s BMW dealership, has recalled BMW R 1250 GS and R 1300 GS models from 2024 due to a lack of rear axle oil, which may lead to the premature wear of bearings.

The ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.

The ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

The ministry has urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquiries and suggestions through the following channels: Call Centre: 16001; Email: [email protected];social media channels: @mociqatar; or mobile application: MOCIQatar.
