The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Al Abdulghani Motors, Qatar’s Lexus dealership, has announced the recall of Lexus NX 2022-2023 models. The recall comes due to the possibility of the forward recognition camera failing when the ignition is turned off, caused by a software programming defect.

Additionally, the ministry, in cooperation with Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons Automobiles, Qatar’s Mercedes dealership, has recalled Mercedes G-Class models from 2022-2023. The recall addresses an issue where the transmission housing in the rear axle may not meet the required force specifications, potentially causing cracks in the housing during vehicle operations, which may lead to transmission oil leakage on the road.

The ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.

The ministry said it would coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works, and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

The ministry has urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquiries and suggestions through the following channels: Call Center: 16001; Email: [email protected];social media channels: @mociqatar; of mobile application: MOCIQatar.
