The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in collaboration with the Katara Culture Village Foundation and the Museum of Islamic Arts recently held separate Latin music nights inspiring the guests.

Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela HE Carlos Jose Mata Figueroa, in his speech at Katara Cultural Village, thanked the management of Katara Cultural Village Foundation led by HE Dr Khaled Ibrahim Al Sulaiti for their collaboration and support in organising the Venezuelan musical evening.

The ambassador was addressing the gathering to mark the 213th anniversary of the signing of the Act of Independence of Venezuela. Present on the occasion were HE Ambassador Al Muhannad bin Ali Hassan Al Hammadi, Director, Department of American Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar; HE Ambassador Ibrahim Yousif Abdullah Fakhroo, Director, Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar; Saif bin Saad Al Dossari, Deputy Director General of Katara Cultural Village Foundation; members of the diplomatic Corp; members of the media; members of the Venezuelan community, and guests.

He paid his gratitude to the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Qatari authorities, and the people of Qatar for all the support and love given to the Venezuelan community as well as to the Embassy of Venezuela in meeting its official mission. The Latin envoy briefed the gathering about his country’s traditional music and Latin American roots, combining standards with original music. Artist Jorge Torres and singer Andrea Paola Marquez Grillo under ‘La Torre De Grillos’ musical duo band entertained the guests.
