In the spirit of productive collaboration between the Qatari and Saudi Basketball Federations, the Qatari capital, Doha, is set to host the Saudi Basketball Team "3x3” camp for men and women under 23 years of age. This camp serves as a continuation of the preparatory camp in anticipation of the Asian qualifiers for the Nations Championship.

Following the internal camp held in Dammam from July 6 to 15, the Saudi national team is gearing up for the Asian qualifiers taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from July 22 to 28.

The Saudi men’s team comprises: Muhammad Al Khater, Saad Al Subaie, Rayan Al Ahmad, Manaf Al Salem, Hazem Al Jawhar, Hammam Hussein, Abdulmalik Ashour, Abdul Rahman bin Mahfouz.

The women’s team includes: Jana Balghaith, Noura Al Nuwaisir, Reman Al Ahmadi, Al Maha Al Hammad, Ruaa Al Khulaifi, Basma Al Marzouqi, and Juri Al Awad.

The administrative supervision of the team is under Saeed Al Faraj and Khadija Saad, while the technical leadership is in the hands of French coach Kevin Cor, supported by Saudi coaches Turki Al Muhanna, Ishaq Al Ahmad, physical trainer Elie Maroun, physical therapist Kamal Baltoumi, and Rayhana Al Sulaiman.

The collaboration between the Qatari and Saudi Basketball Federations strengthens sports ties between the two nations and facilitates the sharing of knowledge and successful practices in advancing the sport.

Conducting the training camp in Doha presents an excellent opportunity for the Saudi national teams to utilize top-notch sports facilities and thorough preparation for their participation in the Asian qualifiers. This, in turn, enhances their prospects of achieving favourable outcomes in the upcoming Nations Championship.

The seventh edition of the FIBA ​​3x3 Nations League for women and men under 23 years old will take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from September 11 to 15.

June and August will witness the holding of qualifiers for each continent separately, and will be held in France, Mexico City in Mexico, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, and Kampala in Uganda.

The International Basketball Federation confirmed that the Mongolian women’s and men’s national teams have guaranteed participation as a host country, in addition to ensuring the participation of the Netherlands women’s national team as champions of the last edition in 2023, and the same applies to the American men’s national team.
