Qatar moved up to 34th place in the FIFA Men’s World Rankings issued by the world football governing body on Thursday.
The Maroons went up one notch from their last ranking (35) and await a busy season ahead with participations including the Asian third-round qualifications for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in September. June and July saw many matches held including three continental championships and friendly matches. The total number of matches played across the globe reached 125, which impacted the rankings.
