The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has said that northwesterly winds are expected to continue during the coming week, starting from Sunday.

In a social media post on X platform, the QMD said the winds may sometimes cause dust to be stirred up in some

areas.

The Qatar Meteorology Departmentexpected that the winds on the coast on Saturday will be southwesterly at first at a speed of less than 5 knots, becoming northwesterly to northeasterly, with a speed ranging between 5 and 15 knots, with gusts reaching 24 knots in some areas during the day.

At sea, they will be variable in direction, mostly northwesterly to northeasterly, with a speed ranging between 3 and 12 knots.

Horizontal visibility on the coast and at sea ranges between 4 and 10 kilometres.
