AN agreement signed on Tuesday by Vodafone Qatar and ASTAD will ensure all the site offices of the country's project management arm are connected via Vodafone Qatar's fixed services.
The strategic agreement was signed at ASTAD's headquarters by Vodafone Qatar's Head of Large Sales Mahday al Hebabi and Abdulla Alyafei, ASTAD's IT director.
Vodafone Qatar will provide ASTAD with a world class telecommunications infrastructure using a mix of fibre and microwave that carry high bandwidths, with guaranteed business service level agreements, and redundancy measures to protect ASTAD's critical data flow.
Commenting on the agreement, Hebabi said:"We're proud to be the Telecom partner of choice for ASTAD and to be supporting the delivery of their ambitious projects, many of which play a vital role in the development and growth of Qatar's various sectors."
Alyafei said:"We look forward to working together with Vodafone with the aim of implementing a robust network across our offices that will further improve business efficiency by leveraging 'best in class' network infrastructure. This will only further support the delivery of our projects throughout Qatar."
ASTAD was established in 2008 to meet the growing needs of the construction industry in Qatar and the region.
Since then they have managed and delivered more than 250 complex infrastructure and building projects across various sectors including education, healthcare, sports, commerce, residences and transport, bringing together all the necessary components required to build a booming nation with a bright future to look forward to.
"Vodafone Qatar has made significant progress in providing key entities around the country with mobile and fixed infrastructure and services. Drawing on the very best of the Vodafone brand globally, Vodafone Qatar is able to access the needed solutions and support needed to move Qatar towards becoming one of the most connected countries in the world," the telecom provider said in a press statement.
