BANANA Island Resort Doha by Anantara's 'Al Nahham' won the award of the 'Luxury Resort Restaurant' at the World Restaurant Awards 2018 held in Northern Ireland recently.
The awards recognise and celebrate luxury spa and restaurants' success for exceptional service in the luxury wellness and fine dining industries.
'Al Nahham' restaurant is famous for Bulimia Arab contemporary design overlooking the horizon of Doha city and Qatari water.
'Al Nahham' is a unique restaurant where guests and visitors can explore the local culture through coveted Middle Eastern spices and exotic ingredients. Guests can also sample the secrets of its master chefs, enjoying a soft breeze dining by the sea and under the stars as well as indulge in mouth-watering mezze from around the region, including sensational seafood and mixed grilling.

World Luxury Restaurant Awards enable restaurants to compete in their chosen category, from a list of 84 categories.
The award promotes the nominated restaurants based on culinary excellence and memorable experiences from outstanding atmosphere and service. Luxury restaurants are selected on the basis of interior design to a high standard; good quality food, to the standard of haute cuisine; as well as excellent service reviews.
Voting is based on the food experience as a whole, combined with aspects of service excellence, presentation, quality and menu choices. Votes are mainly from guests, but also from the industry professionals.
