The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced new lists of accredited universities for self-funded study. The total number of certified universities has reached 763, including 16 universities in different Arab countries.

The new lists reflect a significant expansion in the number of accredited Arab universities, selected based on their academic rankings from the ministry’s approved ranking sites. The 16 Arab universities are located in six countries: Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Kuwait, Tunisia, and Iraq.

The lists were meticulously prepared, classifying universities according to academic tracks. This classification helps students find the most suitable universities for their specific fields of study, offering clear guidance towards their educational goals.

The lists included five tracks: engineering and technology, medicine and biological sciences, natural sciences, law, accounting, education, and social and humanitarian sciences and management.

Director of the Certification Equivalence Department at the MoEHE, Jaber Al Jaber, stated that the lists were prepared considering university classification standards and meeting the needs of all student groups wishing to complete university studies at their own expense.

Al Jaber emphasised that all students must adhere to the lists according to the tracks and obtain prior approval to study abroad. This responsible approach is crucial before registering at universities and starting studies, in accordance with the Cabinet’s decisions to ensure the equivalence of university degrees after graduation.
