Tribune News NetworkMadridTop-seeded Spanish pair of Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan won the Madrid Premier Padel P1 title overcoming the challenge of second seeds Francisco Navarro of Spain and Martin Di Nenno of Argentina 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 in the final on Saturday. Luigi Carraro, FIP president, Ziad Hammoud, representing Premier Padel; Joan Cusco, Premier Padel Spain president; and David Serrahima, Premier Padel Spain CEO were present on the occasion. Ahead of the finals, Luigi Carraro said, “This event has confirmed that Madrid, and by extension, Spain, is the capital of padel. For the tournament to be perfect we only need the women to be with us, and we believe that in the coming months this will happen. “Both QSI and the FIP and the Players’ Association want the participation of women, and we hope to achieve this before the end of this year.”Ziad Hammoud, in his statement, recalled that “it has been very few months since we started this project and we are very happy for everything we have achieved so far. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the team working to make this happen; people from all the countries who are giving their best.”
