DOHA: The Qatar National Library (QNL) offers both adults and young people the opportunity to unlock their potential this summer.

In a statement, QNL said that artists, musicians and creators can use the Library's Innovation Stations to express themselves and bring their creative ideas to life. The music production studio with its range of musical instruments allows artists to record professional-quality audio and video, while the green screen room offers access to a high-resolution camera and a diverse set of light kits. There is even a digital production station, enabling creators and designers to bring their ideas to life at the 3D printing station.

Aspiring youth with a passion for discovery can also enjoy exploring and learning in the Young Adults' Library.

The inspirational learning space and its vast array of resources provide young adults from 12 to 18 years old with access to more than 30,000 fiction and non-fiction books, graphic novels and magazines, musical instruments, state-of-the-art computer labs, study rooms, and workshops.

Students can discover new interests, hone existing talents, and prepare for the coming academic year in an interactive environment that combines learning and entertainment.

Likewise, the Library inspires children to not only acquire a love of reading but also to explore their curiosity by engaging with the Children's Library's space and collections. Here they have access to a collection of more than 100,000 books and dozens of educational toys that foster sensorimotor skills through fun activities.

Children can also enjoy numerous other activities along with their parents and teachers, including interactive storytelling, creative workshops, early literacy programs, book discussions, and science and arts programs. The Library also hosts expert-led activities to empower children with special needs while parents, educators and caretakers have access to workshops on child development and learning.

During this time of year, children can participate in the Library's annual Summer Reading Challenge held this year in collaboration with the Kutubee Interactive Reading Platform. The challenge aims to motivate children to read, maintain their language skills, expand their understanding, and enhance their critical thinking skills.

Young people are also invited to select and read a book from Qatar National Library's collections on the theme of a "journey" as part of another competition called the "Read & Reflect Video Challenge." The challenge asks participants to film a creative and engaging video presentation, where they share the impact their chosen book had on them and discuss whether it reshaped their future plans and the way they see life experiences.

Library patrons can register for all these events, competitions and more by visiting the website and subscribing to the monthly newsletter or by downloading the QNL application from the App Store or Google Play. The app offers users an innovative and convenient way to connect with the Library and quickly tap its vast collection of information and resources, including immediate access to ebooks and audiobooks.
