The Ministry of Labour (MoL), in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health, on Thursday conducted a workshop for employees and workers of the Security Services Group (SSG) to raise awareness of heat stress risks and the ways to preserve mental health.

The session is part of the Ministry of Labour’s efforts to promote a safe and healthy workplace. Its goal is to enhance workers’ awareness to prevent injuries, diseases and heat stress at work.

The workshop featured presentations to raise workers’ awareness on ways to prevent the risks of heat stress and maintain occupational and mental health and safety in workplaces and residential areas.

Representatives of the ministry’s Occupational Safety and Health Department and the Ministry of Public Health addressed workers’ enquiries during the presentations.

The Ministry of Labour is hosting many seminars as part of the ‘Towards a Safe Work Environment’ campaign. This is aimed to raise awareness among workers on ways to prevent injuries at work and the importance of adhering to workplace safety guidelines.
