A new shipment of Qatari aid, including 55 tonnes of tents and health supplies, provided by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), arrived in Jordan by land, in preparation for its entry into the Gaza Strip in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization.

The shipment was received by Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater.

The minister oversaw the unloading of the shipment at the warehouses of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization.

The arrival of the shipment was witnessed by Official Spokesman and Director of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Sufyan Qudah, Ambassador of Qatar to Jordan HE Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani and Secretary-General of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization Dr Hussein Al Shabli.

Khater praised the efforts of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization in facilitating the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The Official Spokesman and Director of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary-General of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization lauded Qatar’s role in providing humanitarian aid to Gaza, and the cooperation between the two countries in delivering it to those under siege in the Strip.

Qatar Charity (QC) and the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) have continued to provide humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip since last October, in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization.

This aid comes within the framework of Qatar’s support for the Palestinian people and its full support for them during the difficult humanitarian circumstances they are currently facing.
