Filipino fashion director Victor ‘Direk Vic’ Felarca, a versatile business proprietor, stage director, and event curator currently based in Qatar, continues to make a mark in the global arena as he embarks on a new series of international fashion projects this year.
Barrio Fiesta UK
On July 21, Direk Vic recently took part in Barrio Fiesta London in United Kingdom (UK), a celebration of Filipino culture that highlighted the Philippines’ vibrant culinary and musical delights.
He also provided the gown for Rose Eclarinal. It was designed by Qatar-based designer Celso Collado Dahil, for the charity gala at Barrio Fiesta London.
The event is more than just a gathering; it’s a vibrant testament to the rich tapestry of the Filipino community, encapsulating the spirit, flavors, and rhythms that make it unique. The festivities offered an immersive experience, showcasing an array of traditional Filipino dishes.
As the largest Filipino event outside the Philippines, Barrio Fiesta is a cultural celebration that bridges communities and invites everyone to experience the warmth and hospitality of Filipino traditions.
Past Projects
Direk Vic is one of the Filipino creatives who made waves at recent fashion shows in Malta and France.
He directed the said international events with featured designers from Asia, Europe, Middle East, and the USA. He was among the top international fashion innovators who played pivotal roles in these global spectacles.
He also served as the director of the coveted Paris Fashion Week 2024. He also directed the World Fashion Expo Paris Edition Part II in France.

In the coming months, Direk Vic will be directing several international shows including: Creative Sustainability Through Fashion in Doncaster, UK on August 24; Taormina Fashion Week in Italy on August 30; London Fashion Week/London Represents on September 13; London Fashion Week/House of iKONS on September 14; Milano Fashion Week/World Fashion Expo on September 22; and Paris Fashion Week/World Fashion Expo on September 28.
In December, he is set to participate in the launch of Fashion & Arts Qatar, an event that will spotlight sustainability, inclusivity, and diversity.
Among his international show and event producers are Marie Fairbank from London, UK; Melizza Hatchik from New York City, USA; and Gigi Hobson from Austin, Texas, USA.
In Qatar, his producers are Cathrina Poblete Salloum and Mariam Al Fadaaq.
