DOHA: The Behavioral Healthcare Center (Daam) and the Social Development Center (NAMA), under the Qatar Social Work Foundation, affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MoSDF), and in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, have launched training programme during the summer period under the theme 'Gain Me Experience'.

It is devoted to young people from both genders from the age of 15 to 20.

The programme primarily aims to enhance the societal responsibility of youth by engaging them in volunteering activities and improving society, in terms of psychological, social and behavioural levels, to further build a society based on constructive values and strengthening their social and positive role.

The programme intends to increase the youth's awareness of social work to serve society, in addition to catalyzing them to protect society from behavioural aberration. It comprises a multitude of practical activities and training workshops, such as youth and society and Badir Workshops.

Director of Community Awareness at Daam, Jawaher Abu Alfain affirmed the importance of participation in summer activities to create a Qatari environment conducive to a generation that enjoys good and positive morals, stemming from summer activities to invest in leisure times of youth and fill them with beneficial programmes.

She added that the program seeks to build the balanced character of youth, in addition to directing individuals' behavioural reactions, along with their intellectual and physical energy toward the correct positive direction, as well as training them on teamwork and developing their diverse skills.

Additionally, Daam is committed to underscoring the importance of the role played by youth in society through engaging them in training programs and volunteering, which would, reciprocally, help them achieve their future goals and protect them from behavioural aberration.
