The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons Automobiles, Qatar’s Mercedes dealership, has announced several recalls. The Mercedes CLA, 2023 model, is being recalled due to a potential issue where the upper area of the fender may come into contact with the side wall, possibly causing damage to the surface coating of both component parts due to a sheet metal burr.

Additionally, the Mercedes CLA, GLB, GLC, and GLE models from 2019 to 2021 are being recalled because the programming of the entertainment and information control unit does not match factory specifications, resulting in the multimedia system being unavailable.

In cooperation with Al Fardan Luxury Motors, Qatar’s Aston Martin dealership, the MoCI has also announced a recall of the Aston Martin DBX, 2023 model. This recall is due to a possible defect in the quality of the engine oil cooling hoses, which could lead to oil loss and a drop in oil pressure, potentially causing the engine to stop suddenly and increasing the risk of a crash or fire.

Additionally, the MoCI, in cooperation with Tavola, the Vitamix dealership in Qatar, has announced a recall of Vitamix 225ml and 600ml Blending Containers and Blade Bases, manufactured between 2018 and 2024. This recall is due to the possibility that the container may separate from the blade base, exposing the blades and posing a laceration hazard.

The Ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on defects and repairs.(TNN)
