DOHA: The State Budget recorded a surplus of QR2.6bn in the second quarter of 2024 (Q2 2024), and the surplus will be directed to reduce public debt, the Ministry of Finance said on Wednesday.
Therefore there is no cash surplus, the ministry added in a social media post.
The total public spending during the Q2 2024amounted approximately to QR57.3bn, representing a decrease of 1.8 percent compared to Q2 of 2023, the ministry said.
The total revenues for the the period amounted to approximately QR59.9bn, registering a decrease of 12.4 percentcompared to Q2 of 2023.
