DOHA: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on Wednesday met at the Amiri Diwan with UK Foreign Secretary HE David Lammy, and UK Defense Secretary HE John Healey, who are visiting the country.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the strategic cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, and discussed the repercussions of the assassination of the Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Dr Ismail Haniyeh in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

They also discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as developments in the joint mediation efforts to end the war on the Gaza, in addition to several topics of mutual interest.

The UK Foreign Secretary and UK Defense Secretary extended their country's thanks to Qatar for its joint mediation efforts to stop the war on Gaza.
