The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Al Abdulghani Motors, Qatar’s Lexus and Toyota dealership, has announced the recall of Lexus LX and Toyota Land Cruiser Turbo engines, 2022-2023 models. The recall is due to the possibility that certain machining debris may not have been cleared from the engine during the production process. This issue could lead to rough engine running, engine failure to start, and/or a loss of motive power. Consumers are advised to contact Al Abdulghani Motors to schedule a maintenance appointment. For Lexus, the contact number is 8002929, and for Toyota, the contact number is 8001800.

The ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.

The ministry said it would coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

The ministry has urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquiries and suggestions through the following channels:Call Center: 16001; Email: info@moci.gov.qa; social media channels: @mociqatar; or mobile application: MOCIQatar.
