Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy and UK Defence Secretary John Healey at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the strategic relations between the two countries and the ways to support and develop them. They discussed the repercussions of the assassination of the Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Dr Ismail Haniyeh in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
They also discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as developments in the joint mediation efforts to end the war on the Gaza, in addition to several topics of mutual interest.
The UK Foreign Secretary and UK Defence Secretary extended their country’s thanks to Qatar for its joint mediation efforts to stop the war on Gaza.
