The Friends of the Environment Center (FEC) of the Ministry of Sports and Youth organised a workshop to raise awareness as part of the fifth week of the ‘I Explore’ summer programme. The event, which saw significant participation from girls affiliated with the programme, focused on imparting essential knowledge on various agricultural and ecological themes. This initiative is aligned with FEC’s vision to promote eco-culture and instill lasting environmental awareness in young men and women.

The workshop provided detailed explanations on the famous types of aromatic and wild herbs that grow in Qatari habitats. It covered the different types of these plants, their uses in treating certain illnesses, and traditional recipes that combine several herbs. By showcasing models and images of local herbs, the girls learned about the forms and natural habitats of each plant, methods of planting them indoors, and how to care for them at all stages of growth.
