The ninth Souq Waqif Local Dates Festival that draw large number of visitors concluded on Saturday. Since its opening on July 23,the festival witnessed sale of a total of 240,172 kg of dates.
The last day of the festival saw sale of 23,341 kg of dates.
The 12-day event saw thousands of residents and visitors flocking Souq Waqif to get a taste of variety of fresh dates on display inside an air-conditioned tent at the Eastern Square.
