Shutter Social, a photography community forum, recently hosted a glamour photowalk at the scenic Shadows Travelling-Al Zubara, Qatar.

Titled ‘The Golden Hour Glamour Photowalk’, the event saw more than 50 photographers from different communities of various age groups capture stunning portraits of gorgeous models against the backdrop of Olafur Eliasson’s mesmerising site-specific artwork.

This photowalk focused on portrait photography, providing participants with the perfect opportunity to sharpen their skills in capturing unique and reflective landscapes.

The participants gathered around 3am before travelling together to the picturesque location. The early start allowed photographers to take advantage of the stunning sunrise.

The event was made even more vibrant by the presence of three gorgeous models, dressed to impress, and two talented makeup artists who ensured the models looked their best. Their contributions added a touch of glamour and professionalism to the photowalk, enhancing the overall experience for all participants.

Special recognition was given to the three models Taskeen Syed, Emily Baxter, and Diha Syed; makeup artists Janinah Au and Mila Dangol; and Annie Simbolas (Mary), a dedicated female photographer who played a major role in organising the event. Each received a token of appreciation for their outstanding support and contributions.

The event was also supported by key organizers Safran Haseem, co-founder, Ahammed Arshad, Mohamed Rimzan, and Mahaboob Khan, whose efforts were crucial in making the photowalk a success. The event was mentored by experienced photographers Rahul Murugupillai and Jeremy Ponce, who provided valuable guidance and insights to the participants.

Participants had the opportunity to join a dedicated WhatsApp group, allowing for effective communication and the sharing of tips and experiences. The group fostered a sense of community and provided a platform for ongoing discussions about photography techniques and future events.
