Francisca Crovetto Chadid became the first Chilean woman to win a gold medal at Olympics with a win in the women’s skeet shooting at the Paris Games on Sunday. She claimed Chile’s first gold medal since Athens 2004 by defeating silver medallist Amber Rutter of Britain and bronze winner Austen Jewell Smith of the United States. Crovetto Chadid claimed only a third gold medal for Chile at Olympic Games and first overall since Beijing 2008.
