Germany win women’s 3x3 basketball

Germany beat Spain 17-16 to claim a surprise women’s 3x3 basketball Olympic gold medal at the Paris Games on Monday. Svenja Brunckhorst, Sonja Greinacher, Elisa Mevius und Marie Reichert triumphed in the German debut in the event, with former NBA superstar Dirk Nowitzki celebrating with the team on the sideline.
