Qatar’s Tokyo 2020 bronze medallists Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan continued their good run at the Paris 2024 Games as the duo stormed into the quarter-finals of the beach volleyball event with a commanding 21-14, 21-13 win over Chile’s Marco Grimalt and Esteban Grimalt at the courts at the foot of the Eiffel Tower on Monday night. Younousse and Tijan claimed the opening set in 19 minutes and needed exactly the same time to win the second set. (TNN)
