The Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) is set to revolutionise cricket in the Middle East region through a groundbreaking partnership with CricksLab, a market-leading cricket technology company.

A signing ceremony was recently held in this regard at Qatar Olympic Committee Building in Dafna.

As Qatar continues to develop its cricket infrastructure and nurture talent, the support from CricksLab will be crucial in achieving the objectives. While this is just the beginning, both organisations are excited about the future possibilities that this partnership holds.

This partnership with CricksLab is a testament to QCA’s commitment to embracing modern technology to elevate the game. With the new app, QCA aims to improve player performance, provide in-depth analytics for coaches, and offer fans an unparalleled cricket viewing experience.

The collaboration marks a significant step towards the digitalization of cricket in Qatar, leveraging advanced technology to enhance player performance, fan engagement, and the overall cricket experience.

QCA is the official governing body for the game of cricket in Qatar. It is an affiliate member of the ICC and an associate member of the Asian Cricket Council, dedicated to promoting and developing cricket in Qatar.

CricksLab is a cricket management and live scoring app designed to manage the entire cricket ecosystem and deliver international quality match experiences for players and fans directly from their smartphones.

The new Qatar Cricket app, powered by CricksLab, is currently in development and will be launched soon on both iOS and Google Play Store, and will also be accessible from the QCA website. This app will allow every domestic cricketer in Qatar to manage live cricket matches directly from their phones. Once launched, QCA will use the app to manage various aspects of their association, providing players with detailed insights into their statistics, match data, and tournaments, and offering fans TV-quality broadcasting through live stream features.

"We are honoured to join CricksLab on their journey towards cricket digitalization. This platform brings immense value to our players, coaches, teams, and all cricket enthusiasts in Qatar. It’s a great opportunity to enhance the game at a national level and set new standards for cricket across the GCC,” said Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Saoud Al Thani, President of Qatar Cricket Association.

Khalid Saleh Al Rumaihi, General Secretary of Qatar Cricket Association, added, "The new platform is expected to increase the number of players and teams, showcasing the power of digital transformation in sports. It will also help us demonstrate the importance of cricket to our government and secure further support as the governing body of cricket in Qatar.”

Nadeem Akhtar, CEO of CricksLab, was upbeat about the partnership: "Our mission is to empower Qatar Cricket with technology that fosters player development, enhances recognition, and boosts viewership at the domestic level. This collaboration will make a high-quality cricket experience more accessible at every level of the game across Qatar.”

The exciting features of the CricksLab App include live scoring and analytics; player and team insights; real-time match updates; live-streaming of every game; and ticket and ground booking.

This partnership is a pivotal change in the region, with Qatar and Kuwait leading the way in the digital transformation of cricket in the GCC. CricksLab is actively working to bring other countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE on board, aiming to elevate the entire region’s cricket experience.

This initiative will set a benchmark for cricket digitalization, encouraging other countries to adopt similar technologies to improve player performance, fan engagement, and the overall management of cricket.
