Sohni Dharti organised the much-awaited Mango Festival at Al-Waha Club in Al-Khor.
Sohni Dharti Chairman Anwar Ali Rana, alongside his Excom members and representatives of Sunder Trading, inaugurated the festival.
It was an open public event for the community and a large number of mango lovers from various nationalities attended the event purchasing their favourite Pakistani mangoes.
Prominent varieties of Pakistani mangoes like Chaunsa (white) and Anwar Retol were showcased at the festival. Mango products like mango shakes and mango ice-cream were also available.
Sundar Trading was the official vendor and they transported the bulk quantity of mangoes. Given its popularity among the community, the event was well promoted on various social media platforms.
A record sale of mangoes was reported by the vendor with more than 1,000 boxes sold out in just a few hours.
Apart from mangoes, a number of Pakistani products were kept for sale which were well liked by the visitors.
Sohni Dharti Chairman Anwar Ali Rana expressed his special thanks to the distinguished guests and Al-Waha Club management for providing space and all support for the festival.
Rana also thanked community members for turning out in large numbers and showing interest in Pakistani mangoes. He also thanked Sohni Dharti team members and Sundar Trading for extending all support to make the event a grand success.
