Wrestler carried away after serious injury

Romanian wrestler Catalina Axente was taken away on a stretcher and may have suffered a serious injury in the Olympic competition on Saturday. The 28-year-old lost her opening fight in the 76 kilogram weight class against American Kennedy Blades. After a powerful and spectacular five-point throw from her opponent, Axente landed on her neck from an enormous height. The wrestler grabbed the back of her neck and stayed down. Blades herself looked startled and bent down to see how the Romanian was. (DPA)
