Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani discussed the ongoing efforts for reaching an immediate and enduring ceasefire in Gaza Strip with US Secretary of State HE Antony Blinken and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye HE Hakan Fidan.

On Wednesday, the PM received a phone call from US Secretary of State HE Antony Blinken.

During the call, they discussed the close strategic relations between the State of Qatar and the United States of America and ways to support and strengthen them.

They also discussed the developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, the updates on joint mediation efforts to end the war on the Strip, the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

They emphasized on the need for calm and de-escalation in the region.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairsalso received a phone call from Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye HE Hakan Fidan.

During the call, they discussed bilateralties between the two countries and ways to strengthen them, in addition to the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian Territories, and avenues for reaching an immediate and enduring ceasefire in the Strip. The PM reiterated, during the call, the State of Qatar’s commitment to supporting all regional and global efforts dedicated to achieving security and stability at the regional and global levels.
