BESTClub Strategic Group (BCSG) recently hosted a Thanksgiving Dinner for its members to celebrate the success of its July 2024 Art and Display Exhibit.

The event, held at Cocina de Rose, was a testament to the club’s commitment to fostering community and recognising the achievements of its members.

The programme commenced with a signing ceremony for the July 21, 2024, issue of the Qatar Tribune Kabayan Corner. The signing was officiated by yours truly, Darlene Regis, who is the current contributing writer for the page.

BSCG presented a rare vintage Philippine postage stamp and an award-winning painting by the group’s founder, architect Migi Garcia, to Regis as tokens of appreciation.

The organisation’s members and key contributors who are Filipino artists, architects and memorabilia collectors, reflected on the impact of their exhibit that was widely acclaimed for extraordinary artworks presented, making it a highlight of the local art scene.

The exhibit took place at the Philippine Independence Day-themed KATE Mall Family Day last July 12 in Barwa area. It showchased a Visual Arts Display represented by BSCG member Gilbert Garcia, an Architecture Display by notable Filipino architects including the Philippine heritage memorabilia collection courtesy of the Migi Collections, and Diecast Vehicle Toy Collection by Qatar Diecast 164.

In his opening remarks, Architect Migi Garcia, the President of BESTClub, expressed gratitude to all members for their dedication and hard work. “The success of the Art and Display Exhibit is a direct result of your passion and creativity. This Thanksgiving Dinner is our simple way to celebrate the incredible talent within our club,” he stated.

During the dinner, members were treated to a delightful buffet and enjoyed an evening of videoke sessions and camaraderie.

With plans for future exhibitions and community projects, BESTClub continues to be a driving force in the local art community.
